Mentor, OH - The Mentor Ice Breakers have made a few changes to their roster prior to this weekend's series against the Carolina Thunderbirds. Former Thunderbirds defenseman Ryan Koresky has been signed to a standard player contract. Koresky is the second former Thunderbird to join the Ice Breakers this week after Mentor traded for forward Tommy Mahoney in exchange for future considerations. In a corresponding move, defenseman Joseph Keenan has been placed on waivers.

Koresky, 37, played collegiately at SUNY-Oswego (NCAA Division III) from 2003-07, scoring 47 points (7-40-47) over 102 games. The Midhurst, Ontario native has a 5-foot-10, 185-pound frame and will add another veteran presence as well as defensive depth to the Ice Breakers locker room.

The Ice Breakers have also waived goaltender Rick Odria after he appeared in two games with the club last weekend against the Port Huron Prowlers. Odria earned his first FHL victory last Saturday night in the Ice Breakers' 11-7 victory over the Prowlers at Mentor Civic Ice Arena.
