OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON SUSPENSION OF FPHL SEASON 2019-20

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mentor, OH - As a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Ice Breakers have officially cancelled all future games for the 2019-20 season effective immediately, in cooperation with Ohio government and health officials, the Federal Prospects Hockey League and in the best interest of our fans and players. As soon as we determine the appropriate procedures for pre-paid ticket holders, we will let you know.

The Mentor Ice Breakers are dedicated to protecting the well-being of our fans and our players. We understand the health and safety of everyone, old and young, is our top priority - even if it means coming at the expense of our favorite game.

We’re disappointed and disheartened, as we were looking forward to a spirited playoff push with our newly re-tooled team. But we need our fans at full strength when it comes time for hockey to return in the fall of 2020!
